Romesh really enjoyed being a panellist at the ICAEW Scale-Up Live 2025 event a few weeks ago at the Chartered Accountants Hall. Following on from the success of ICAEW's scale-up webinar series, Scale-Up Live - supported by Marsh - brought together members for insight, inspiration and discussion.
After welcomes from ICAEW President, Derek Blair and Marsh International Affinity's CFO, Dequan Walker, MBA, Caroline Wigham hosted a panel discussion with Romesh, Anne Allibone and Carl Moore, bringing to life key takeaways from the series.
We covered a number of topics critical to scaling businesses including Finance, People, and how to overcome key challenges at this stage of a business life cycle.
After coffee, scale-up expert Paul Piccirillo guided us through an interactive workshop, giving attendees the opportunity to network and learn from each other.
For the last session of the evening, Simon Gray had an excellent fireside chat with Julie Deane CBE, founder of the Cambridge Satchel Company who shared her incredible growth journey from start-up to internationally acclaimed brand. Tenacity, resilience and thinking outside the box were key takeaways.
What is the ICAEW?
The ICAEW is the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. The institute offers excellent support for SME businesses as well as its members. Please take a look here at the excellent webinars and events they provide.
A big thank you to everyone who attended Scale Up Live 2025 and to the ICAEW team that organised such a great event.
