I'm delighted that London Daily News has covered my return to the judging panel of the Best Businesswomen Awards 2025! It's wonderful to see media recognition for initiatives that champion female entrepreneurship and business excellence.

It’s an opportunity for me to reflect on what an incredible privilege it is to be part of this judging team once again.

Now in its eleventh year, this prestigious nationwide programme continues to shine a spotlight on the UK's most outstanding female entrepreneurs - and I couldn't be more excited to be involved for the second year running.

Best Businesswomen Awards

What makes this so special? These awards recognise the drive, passion and resilience of women who are not only running successful businesses across a variety of sectors, but often doing so while balancing family life and pushing through barriers that still exist for female entrepreneurs.

The judging process itself is both challenging and inspiring. Every submission tells a unique story of growth, resilience and innovation, often achieved while navigating significant barriers and balancing multiple responsibilities.

Drawing from my own journey – starting off at global organisations, moving into the SME world, through to founding The FD Consultant and working with countless growing businesses - I deeply appreciate the challenges of the entrepreneurial journey. This perspective helps me evaluate not just the numbers, but the vision, strategy and determination behind each venture.

As Debbie Gilbert, Founder of the Best Businesswomen Awards perfectly put it, these awards recognise women and gives them a deserved "chance to shine" - and I'm honoured to help identify and celebrate those making the biggest impact across the UK.
