I trained and qualified as an accountant 20 years ago with Ernst & Young and then moved on to join Bunzl plc, a FTSE 100 organisation where I worked in various senior finance roles for 6 years.
My last two full time CFO roles involved being a key member of successful management teams growing start ups from no more than a few employees.
One business, a pioneering eco friendly consumables supplier, increased its revenues by 9 times during my time there. A true highlight was winning a tender for the 2012 London Olympics with this enterprise.

I began my career with PwC and gained a huge amount of experience in the 13 years I spent with the organisation, both in the UK and internationally.
I have since worked in various companies as a Finance Director/CFO. Since leaving my last full time role, I have gained some fantastic experience as a portfolio FD.
I really enjoy working with the FD Consultant as I love collaborating with different organisations and the variety of work that I get involved in.

After training with PwC, I joined FTSE100 group Tate & Lyle plc, where I held various roles, including Finance Director of a group subsidiary where I led strategic planning and an end to end systems replacement. Working with the Managing Director, we acquired a number of businesses and delivered a 400% EBITDA increase.
More recently I have worked in the business services and travel sectors for more than 20 years with a twin focus as Finance Director and leader of all aspects of business change. I have twice worked with owner led businesses to successful sales into PE ownership with both preparation for sale and through discussion with Private Equity investors.

It has been 15 years since I qualified as a Chartered Accountant through KPMG in Brisbane, Australia where I gained an invaluable grounding working across both their Small & Medium Size Enterprise and Consulting Divisions.
A move to the UK followed where I took up a role with Coca Cola Enterprises (CCE), the bottling arm of The Coca Cola Company. My time at CCE was formative and I worked across several senior roles.

I began my career at KPMG where I gained invaluable holistic experience of a variety of businesses in their Small and Medium Enterprise and Consulting division.
My first move into industry was into Airtours Plc which gave me the opportunity to understand and contribute to the commercial activities involved in high growth fast paced environments. I developed a real passion for the power that insightful Management Information provides to drive business strategy.
